GECAD starts with development of Computer Aided Design tools.

GECAD decides to focus on security, starting to research and develop RAV Antivirus.

RAV commercial division is operational. RAV starts online sales. GECAD is a pioneer in the field.

GECAD IT services and licensing division is focusing on value added software reselling and consultancy on IT technologies.

" We need a platform independent antivirus, which can run regardless of the operating system ". That was the critical decision that the RAV had to make. Later on, it benefited heavily from it.

While GECAD continued to grow as one of the most respected local IT company, specialized in security, software licensing and IT consultancy, RAV division matured and the software product reached the international market, gaining awards and recognition.

RAV tops 10M end-user worldwide.

RAV sees incredible global growth: 150 distributors in over 60 countries.

It's a new life for RAV. It's a new beginning for GECAD - the antivirus technology is acquired by Microsoft.

GECAD reshapes its entire business. Recognizing innovation as it most inner strength, it capitalizes on its people and expertise to establish several business lines. GECAD is now a group made up of four companies, each pushing ahead in a high-growth market.

GECAD Net, the flag carrier for the Romanian market, with the same team of professionals and continuing to offer top class IT security solutions.

GECAD ePayment, a new born company, which gathered RAV experience in security and electronic sales, built a solution for electronic commerce addressing initially the Romanian market, planning to expand worldwide.

And finally, a part of RAV developers and support team ventured in a new direction: new AXIGEN mail server.
