Key investment criteria include a credible technology roadmap to support products that are innovative and have the potential for a global roll-out. GECAD builds strong strategic and working relationships with the management teams running the portfolio companies and supports them to achieve their objectives. GECAD leverages its international network of technology resources to transfer best practices and market knowledge.
GECAD has successfully exited from two of its major investments: RAV Antivirus was acquired by Microsoft in 2003 and GECAD ePayment International by Allegro/Naspers in 2010.Strategic minority investors were also brought into Axigen and Avangate.
