After an intense beta testing campaign, AXIGEN, the professional mail server vendor, announced today the release of its Mail Server version 2.0.
“With the commercial launch of AXIGEN 2.0 (http://www.axigen.com), we wanted to be able to provide our customers with a product that would suit their needs of security and simplicity,” stated Oana Bornaz, AXIGEN CEO. “From a technical standpoint, version 2.0 is more stable than the previous one. A huge amount of time and effort was dedicated to the development of this product, as our 60 people strong team has been working on this major version for more than 6 months,” continued Ms. Bornaz.
One of the most significant advantages of AXIGEN 2.0 is that the product has been internationalized and, for start, is available in two languages, English and German, but will support 6 more languages in the near future.
The new Backup and Restore module is a vital tool for the efficient administration of the mail server. It offers system administrators the benefit of no longer needing to fear the complete loss of their data, as they can now perform online backups and retrieve storage objects (e.g. domains, mailboxes, etc.). The restore operations are also performed online by uploading the objects that were previously backed up.
The new AXIGEN 2.0 is also equipped with a full security toolbox that ultimately guarantees the highest levels of protection against the entire range of security threats, by integrating Message Acceptance Policies, Integration with 15 of the most well-known Antivirus products, as well as Message Rules and Relay Policies.
A detailed list of the new AXIGEN 2.0 features is currently available on the company website:

“Of a great importance to us was the wide and active participation of the AXIGEN testing community in our campaign, which was launched last month. We wish to thank the more than 100 testers who embarked on our challenging competition for their efforts to improve the quality of our messaging solution,” added Oana Bornaz. “As promised, the top three most active beta testers will be rewarded for their contribution, by receiving each of them an iPod mp3 player. The final classification is available on our website,” concluded Oana Bornaz.
